Following on from my post on the social media marketing tool Google Search Stories – a really simple online video creator, I’ve found another fun tool thanks to Steve Clarke.

Let Me Google That For You is not an official Google application, but an idea dreamed up by a bunch of coders one day over lunch. Driven to provide a service ‘for all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question than Google it themselves‘, they created an easy way to share information while poking fun at time wasters who ask a question when the answer can easily be found through Google.

You simply type the search term into the Google box on the website, it then creates a shortened url linking to the Google page with all the results of your search term. The link provides a nifty video clip demonstrating the search and results. Steve, being a sales and marketing expert, immediately saw this as a perfect opportunity to promote a brand or service online. You could use it to create buzz around an event or as an online calling card by sharing the link through your social networking profiles, email signatures, blogs and websites.

See the video in action and what happened when I searched me.

So, what does Let Me Google That For You say about you?
